The International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) Phoenix Area Chapter is the local Phoenix area chapter of the International Dark-Sky Association which is headquartered in Tucson. The IDA is the recognized authority on light pollution and is the leading organization combating light pollution worldwide. The Phoenix Area Chapter is dedicated to protecting night skies throughout Arizona by advocating for eye and sky friendly lighting right here in the Valley of the Sun.
